Welcome to aprildaly.org!

On this website you will find information about my professional background, interests, photos of places I have traveled, occasional thoughts, and experience as a musician. I have a Ph.D. in chemistry and I work as a leading laboratory informatics professional helping enterprise laboratories optimize their laboratory workflows and efficiency.

I believe that every child should learn to code in order to be prepared for the increasing demand for computer science skills in the 21st century workforce. To contribute to this effort I have founded the Mahopac & Carmel CoderDojo to teach and promote computer programming in the Mahopac, Carmel and surrounding communities of Putmam County, New York. The Mahopac & Carmel CoderDojo is part of a global movement of free computer programming clubs for kids. We are a volunteer lead community organization dedicated to inspiring kids ages 7 through 17 to develop STEM skills through the exploration of computer programming, automation, and robotics in an informal and creative environment.

With a dependency on volunteers to run & support the Mahopac CoderDojo, it is with great sadness that the club has been closed. We did enjoy the opportunity to teach computer programming skills to young, aspiring coders, but volunteers have limited time and are generally in great demand (professionally). We look forward to future opportunities to startup or participate in future CoderDojo's!
